Description

316L is a type of molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels, a low carbon version of SS 316, with the addition of molybdenum to improve its corrosion resistance.One of its important constituent elements is chromium, which gives it excellent oxidation resistance. 316L steel also contains low carbon content to avoid intergranular corrosion in high temperature environments.

316L stainless steel sheet is a type of alloy that can resist atmospheric corrosion, moderate oxidizing and reducing environments, and polluted marine atmospheres. The alloy has outstanding resistance to intergranular corrosion in the as-welded condition, as well as excellent strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures.

316L plate has excellent resistance to corrosion in various environments, including marine and industrial environments, and is commonly used in the chemical, petrochemical, and food processing industries.
