304 stainless steel is an austenitic grade alloy that contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel,with good corrosion resistance and temperature resistance.It is one of the most popular and widely used stainless steel grades due to its excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and formability.It is commonly referred to as 18/8 stainless steel and has a density of 7.93 g/cm3.
304 stainless plate also has good intergranular corrosion resistance. For oxidizing acids, it still has strong corrosion resistance in nitric acid below the boiling temperature of ≤65%. It also has good corrosion resistance to alkaline solutions and most organic and inorganic acids.
Grade 304 is not easy to rust at room temperature, and has good processing properties and welding properties.It is also non-magnetic and has good mechanical properties, making it a durable and long-lasting material choice.
