Description

Known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, 316L stainless steel is a low-carbon variant of the Grade 316, making it particularly well-suited for applications where welding is involved. It contains chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, which work together to improve the 316L material ability to withstand corrosion in moderately aggressive environments.

316L sheet is characterized by its excellent performance in corrosive environments, such as those containing chlorides, and its ability to withstand high temperatures. The low carbon content in 316L Stainless Steel Sheet not only enhances its resistance to corrosion but also makes it a preferred choice for applications that demand superior weldability.

316L steel is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but can become slightly magnetic as a result of cold working or welding. It can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices.
