309s is a chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel grades that are commonly used in high-temperature environments.Due to its high chromium and nickel content, 309s stainless steel has superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion in challenging environments. The high chromium content also contributes to its excellent resistance to sulfidation and other aggressive chemical reactions, making it an ideal choice for applications in elevated temperature atmospheres.
309S is the low carbon version of the alloy 309,309S has a much less carbon composition which minimizes carbide precipitation and improves weldability.
