309S stainless steel is an austenitic heat resistant alloy that is made up of a combination of nickel, chromium, and iron. It is a low carbon version of the 309 alloy, which means it has a reduced risk of carbide precipitation during welding,making it easier to work with and less likely to experience cracking or other forms of deterioration during processing.
309S stainless steel is known for its excellent oxidation resistance,it can withstand temperatures up to 1900°F under constant temperature conditions.
