316L steel contains low carbon content, typically ranging from 0.03% to 0.035%, distinguishing it from its counterpart Stainless Steel 316. This reduced carbon content enhances the weldability of 316L, making it particularly well-suited for applications involving welding and forming processes.The low carbon content also avoid intergranular corrosion in high temperature environments.
