409 SS Plate

409 stainless steel plate is a common chromium-titanium stabilized ferritic stainless steel,mainly used in automobile exhaust systems,and has good mechanical properties and high-temperature corrosion resistance.It contains 11% chromium, the minimum proportion to form a protective surface film, thus giving stainless steel a certain corrosion resistance.

409 Stainless Plate offers excellent corrosion resistance in high-temperature systems up to 675 ℃. For continuous temperature services, it can withstand temperatures up to 815 ℃.409 SS Plate is also designed to be tolerant against exhaust gas and atmospheric corrosion. The general corrosion level is lower than the grade 430. The 409 Stainless Plate is generally preheated at temperatures to ensure welded in place properly. The 409 Stainless Steel Sheet can be pre-heated at a temperature ranging between 790 to 900 ℃.
