What is 430 Stainless Steel?
430 Stainless steel is also commonly known as 1.4016 stainless steel.Grade 430 is a ferritic, straight chromium, non-hardenable grade, that combines good corrosion resistance, formability andductility. It is resistant to nitric acid making it useful in the chemical industry, but is most widely used for automotive applications.
Grade 430F is the free-machining version of this grade, available in bar form for use in automatic screw machines.
