Galvanized steel roll is a carbon steel after hot-dip galvanized. During the production process, first cleaned the surface to remove impurities; then immersed in molten zinc, which bonds the zinc to the steel by forming an intermetallic layer, forming a protective zinc coating layer on the outer surface of the steel.
This zinc layer provides excellent corrosion resistance because the zinc will oxidize (also known as rust) before the base steel, which is called sacrificial anodic protection. It makes galvanized steel roll widely used in the construction and automotive industries, where they need sufficient durability and corrosion resistance to withstand the influence of environmental factors.
Galvanized steel is not easy to rust. However,due to its smooth surface, should the galvanised steel sheet incur any damage, the integrity of the protection is compromised, making it prone to rusting.
