Description

304 grade stainless steel plate is a widely used stainless steel material with excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance. It belongs to austenitic stainless steel family with a chromium content (%) of 17.00-19.00 and a nickel content (%) of 8.00-10.00.

304 steel plate have superior resistance to corrosion, due to the addition of chromium forms a passive film on its surface when exposed to oxygen. This film creates a barrier that prevents further corrosion from occurring. This makes 304 plate an excellent choice for applications where the plate will be exposed to corrosive environments, such as seawater or acidic chemicals.The addition of nickel to the alloy 304 also enhances its corrosion resistance and adds toughness, making it ideal for high-temperature and high-pressure applications.
