303 Stainless Steel contains approximately 17-19% chromium, 8-10% nickel, and 0.15% sulfur. The addition of sulfur improves processing properties, making it easier to cut and process.
Compared with Grade 304,303 stainless sheet has poor corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments. Mainly used for manufacturing easy-to-machine parts such as bolts, nuts, shafts, etc., and applications where processing performance rather than maximum corrosion resistance needs to be emphasized.
