Austenitic stainless steel, or 201 Plate, is comprised of chromium-nickel manganese and is originally developed to preserve nickel. Usually composed of 0.5% to 0.8% nickel and 16% to 18% chromium, these plates are made to survive severe environments without rusting or corroding. 201 Stainless Steel that has nickel added to it is more corrosion resistant, which makes it perfect for use in severe situations like maritime ones.
Stainless steel grades 201 plates are highly durable, corrosion resistant and have excellent weldability. This makes 201 plates ideal for many applications including being used as cladding, roofing material and in the manufacturing of kitchen equipment and kitchenware.
