SS 201 is an austenitic type manufactured from a combination of elements like chromium, nickel, and manganese. SS 201 Plates have excellent properties such as high tensile strength, resistance to high temperatures and pressure, robust construction, and so on.
Usually containing 16% to 18% chromium and 0.5% to 0.8% nickel, 201 stainless steel plates are meant to survive severe environments without rusting or corroding. The steel 201 enhanced corrosion resistance due to the presence of nickel makes it perfect for use in hostile situations, such as maritime environments.
SUS 201 stainless steel plate contains a composition with half the nickel and more manganese and nitrogen, it is a more durable stainless alloy than Grade 309.Due to the less nickel content, 201 provides 309 sheets and 304 plates as an affordable substitute for Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steel. While it is less ductile and formable than the other stainless alloys, it nevertheless demonstrates the majority of their qualities.
