310S stainless steel is similar to stainless steel 310 but has a lower carbon content, which reduces carbide precipitation and enhances weldability. 310S stainless steel plate has higher nickel and chromium content, providing similar corrosion resistance, higher resistance to oxidation and maintaining higher room temperature performance than regular austenitic steels such as Grade 304 stainless steel.
