It also has good corrosion resistance and can be used for a long time in some highly corrosive media, such as organic acids, inorganic acids, alkali and sea water.
Comprising primarily of iron, chromium, and nickel, this type 321 stainless steel also incorporates the addition of titanium. The presence of titanium imparts significant stabilization against chromium carbide precipitation at elevated temperatures, making Stainless Steel 321 an ideal choice for applications involving exposure to high heat or prolonged heating.
