Description

SS 303 stainless steel is a stainless steel material with high strength, corrosion resistance and processability. It contains 17-19% chromium and 8-10% nickel, giving it good corrosion resistance. In addition, it has small amounts of sulfur and carbon added to improve its machinability.

The inclusion of sulfur enhances its machinability, making it a preferred choice for applications that require complex machined components, threads, bolts and other precision parts.The addition of sulfur also facilitates chip breaking and increases the overall efficiency of the machining process.
