15-5 Stainless Steel Plate

15-5 stainless steel (also known as 15-5PH stainless steel) is a precipitation-hardened martensitic stainless steel,approximately 15% chromium,5% nickel,and 3.5-5.5% copper,has good strength, hardness, toughness and corrosion resistance.

The 15-5 stainless steel was designed to have greater toughness than 17-4 PH. The 15-5 PH stainess is martensitic in structure in the annealed condition and is further strengthened by a relatively low temperature heat treatment which precipitates a copper containing phase in the alloy.Compared with 17-4PH stainless steel, 15-5 PH stainless steel is designed for higher toughness,more suitable in applications that require better corrosion resistance and transverse performance
