304 is 300 series stainless steel,a basic "18-8" chromium-nickel austenitic alloy,the most commonly used stainless steel material,with strong formability and excellent weldability,known for its strength and corrosion resistance.Chromium is the basic element to make stainless steel corrosion resistance. When the chromium content in steel reaches about 12%, chromium reacts with oxygen in the corrosive medium to form a thin oxide film on the steel surface, which can prevent further corrosion of the steel matrix.
