ASTM A213 TP316 stainless steel seamless tube is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel tube, suitable for corrosive or high temperature service, or both, or for general applications. 316 stainless steel is a standard molybdenum-containing grade, and is second only to 304 in importance in austenitic stainless steels. Molybdenum gives 316 grade better overall corrosion resistance than 304 grade, especially in chloride environments, with higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It has excellent forming and welding properties. It can be easily formed or rolled into various parts for use in industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. The stainless steel 316 also has excellent welding properties.Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.
