AISI 304 is the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) designation for grade 304 stainless steel. It is also commonly referred to as UNS S30400. Grade 304 stainless steel is a widely used austenitic stainless steel alloy. It contains 18-20% chromium and 8-10.5% nickel, which provides its corrosion resistance. 304 steel is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature strength and good formability.
