410 stainless steel belongs to the martensitic stainless steel family, with high strength, high corrosion resistance and high toughness.After quenching and tempering, 410 stainless has high strength and toughness, and has good corrosion resistance and workability in weak corrosive media with a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.In addition,410 SS has anti-rust and corrosion resistance in humid atmosphere and fresh water conditions, and has high thermal stability under 700 degrees. It also has good machinability but poor processing and welding properties.
Type 410 Stainless Steel is a hardenable martensitic stainless steel alloy that is magnetic in both annealed and hardened conditions.It also provides higher resistance from daily wear and tear but has lower resistance to corrosion than the other grades of austenitic steel. 410 ss material has an almost similar chemical composition to the austenitic grades, including carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, and nickel. This specific composition increases its durability with resistance to wear and tear.
