310 stainless steel is a high chromium nickel alloy austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent high temperature oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance,developed for use in high temperature corrosion resistant applications.The 310steel resists oxidation up to 2010oF (1100oC) under mildly cyclic conditions.
The high chromium and nickel content of stainless 310 provide solid corrosion resistance, excellent resistance to oxidation, and superior strength in temperatures up to 2100°F,used for elevated temperature applications.Due to its high chromium and nickel content, it is superior to 304 or 309 stainless in most environments.
