JIS SK4 Carbon tool steel, strength and wear resistance is higher than SK6 and JIS SK6Mn, but low thermal rigid, hardenability is not high and large deformation hardening, fine grain when quenching easily overheat, can maintain fine grain ; quenched steel in excess of undissolved carbides, the high abrasion resistance, for manufacturing a sharp edge and a little toughness tools.
