201 stainless steel contains approximately 1.5% nickel and 18% chromium, which endow it with excellent anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion properties, particularly in neutral and weakly acidic or alkaline environments. It is commonly used in various decorative and building materials, kitchen utensils and appliances, automotive parts, and industrial equipment.
However, the corrosion resistance of stainless steel 201 may not be as good as that of grade 304 in certain harsh environments, such as high-concentration oxidizing acids, reducing acids, high-temperature and high-pressure steam, and so on.
