Description

304 stainless steel has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. The main reason is that 304 stainless steel contains more than 17% chromium, which forms a dense chromium oxide layer on its surface. This dense oxide layer can effectively prevent intergranular corrosion in acidic media.
