TP316 Stainless Steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipe suitable for corrosive or high-temperature service, or both, or for general applications.Grade 316 is an austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum and is considered to be one of the most corrosion-resistant grades in the industry. It is widely used in the oil and gas industry, chemical processing plants, pharmaceutical industry, food processing, and marine applications,etc.
316 steel is a standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to 304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels.Grade 316 contains a higher percentage of nickel and lower percentage of carbon compared to TP304 Stainless Steel, making it more resistant to corrosion and scaling.The molybdenum also gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than Grade 304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
A213 TP316 pipe is designed for high-temperature service and can withstand temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C), making it ideal for use in applications where extreme temperatures are encountered. This heat-resistant 316 pipe is commonly used in industries such as oil and gas production, chemical processing, power generation, and food processing.
