The addition of nickel enhances the ductility, toughness, and resistance to corrosion in both acidic and alkaline environments. What's more,the molybdenum content significantly improves the 316 material resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion induced by chloride ions and reduces the risk of stress cracking in high temperature applications.
