Process flow of cold drawn steel

Jun 14, 2023

Cold drawing process: rolling head → peeling → passing through the lubricant box → entering the drawing die hole. The mangle is carried out on the mangle machine to fine the end of the steel bar so that it can pass through the drawing die hole. Peeling is through 3 to 6 rollers arranged up and down to remove the hard slag shell on the surface of the steel bar, and the lubricant is commonly made of lime, animal and plant oil, soap, ash and water in a certain proportion. In order to improve the service life of the wire drawing die and eliminate the abrasion of the wire surface due to the presence of iron slag in the wire drawing die hole, the shell peeling and lubricant can prevent the iron slag from entering the hole of the wire drawing die. After the shell is peeled, the steel bar is lubricated by the lubricant box and enters the drawing die hole for cold drawing.
